Apple & camembert millefeuille


Christmas holidays!! I guess it is the perfect time to introduce this delicious entrée prepared with camembert french cheese and apples. It's actually an appetizing recipe full of flavors. So if you like french cheese, give it a go and you will see!

Ingredients (serves 8): 1 camembert cheese - 1 apple (pink lady, golden) - 1 1/2 oz walnuts, almonds or hazelnuts, coarsely chopped - 3 tbsp calvados - 2 tbsp butter

Peel and slice the apple. Heat 1 tbsp of butter and saute the apple slices until golden. Sprinkle the Calvados over the apples and carefully ignite the alcohol with a long match. Stand back and allow the flames to go out. Let them cool.
Cut the camembert in 3 parts and layer the apple slices. Brush the camembert with 1 tbsp of melted butter. Coat the camembert with the chopped nuts.



Millefeuille de camembert aux pommes
Ingrédients (8 personnes): 1 camembert - 1 pomme (pink lady, golden) - 40 g de noix, amandes ou noisettes, grossièrement hachées - 5 cl de calvados - 2 càs de beurre

Pelez et coupez la pomme en lamelles. Dorez-les à la poêle avec une càs de beurre. Hors feu, flambez-les au calvados. Laissez-les refroidir.
Coupez le camembert en 3 disques et intercalez les lamelles de pomme. Badigeonnez-le avec une às de beurre juste fondu. Enrobez-le de noix grossièrement hachées.
